Mueller Winery has joined the Farm Trails!
On Sunday, May 1st, experience Spring fever in full bloom, as farms from Healdsburg to Petaluma open their gates and barnyard doors to offer a behind-the-scenes peek at Sonoma County’s finest food and agriculture. For tickets go to the Farm Trails website. Sonoma County Farm Trails’ Blossom, Bees & Barnyard Babies~ Spring Farm Passport offers you and your family a chance to enjoy the pleasures of life on the farm. Stroll through orchards and gardens in bloom; sample local honeys and learn about the art of beekeeping; see newly born barnyard babies; and taste some of the county’s award-winning artisanal food and wines. You’ll meet the farmers who grow your food and actively support the preservation of the county’s rich agricultural heritage.
Cost: $25/car – Pass holders can load up their vehicles and map out a personalized, on-the-farm tour from dozens of farms from Healdsburg to Petaluma. Space is limited, and this event was a sell-out last year. Pass holders will receive a complimentary provisions bag with “farm bucks” to use for on-site purchases.
At Mueller Winery, we’ll be featuring our Olde English Babydoll Miniature Southdown sheep and lambs. (Lucky Starr Layers (chickens) might make an appearance too! We’ll check with Buffy and the girls to see if they’re available.) Winemaker Bob will be on hand to pour a taste of our newly released 2010 Russian River Sauvignon Blanc or 2008 “Emily’s Cuvée” Pinot Noir (included with your Spring Farm Passport). Please come and meet the Muellers.
